Envoy — the line of communication between customers and the companies they buy from.

What Envoy is

Envoy is an order management and communications app — it organizes your order info, drafts messages to companies, then sends them and tracks what comes back.

What we access

Envoy requests access to your Gmail account for two purposes:

• Reading order-related emails. We search your inbox for order confirmations, shipping notifications, and return-related emails using targeted keyword queries. We extract structured data from these emails: product names, order numbers, tracking status, dates, and company names. We do not browse, index, or access any other emails in your account.
• Sending messages on your behalf. When you approve a draft and tap Send, Envoy sends the email from your Gmail account. The message comes from your name and email address. Nothing is sent without your explicit action.

We also access your basic Google profile (name and email address) to personalize the app.

What we do not access

We do not read your personal emails, work emails, newsletters, or any content unrelated to retail orders. We do not create labels, move messages, delete emails, or modify your inbox in any way. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or Google Drive.

What we store

When you send a message through Envoy, we store the structured details of that communication on our servers:

• The company name, order details, and product information relevant to the message
• The message you sent and the subject line
• Any reply the company sends back

We store your Gmail OAuth token in encrypted form to maintain your connection. We store your name and Gmail address to associate your dispatches with your account.

What we do not store

We do not store the content of your emails. Order emails are processed in memory to extract structured data (product names, dates, tracking info) and are not saved to our servers. We do not build browsing profiles, track your activity outside the app, or collect location data.

Third-party services

Envoy uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Gmail API — to search for order emails and send messages on your behalf.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — to classify your message, draft the email, and analyze company replies. The text you write and relevant order context are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Railway — cloud hosting and database for our servers.

How we use aggregated data

Envoy's business model is built on aggregated, anonymized analytics for companies — not on selling individual user data. We may use patterns across many communications (e.g., "60% of sizing complaints in this category mention the same issue") to help companies understand their customers better. This data is always aggregated and never identifies individual users.

What we will never do

• Sell your individual data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party
• Use your email content for ad targeting
• Send emails without your explicit approval
• Share your personal information with the companies you contact (beyond what's in the email you approved)

Data retention and deletion

Your dispatch history is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us — we will delete your dispatch history, stored tokens, and account information. You can disconnect Gmail access at any time from within the app, or through your Google account permissions.

Children

Envoy is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Envoy evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
